On 17 August 2026, our school community came together to commemorate Indonesia’s Independence Day in a spirit of pride, unity, and gratitude. The celebration was filled with meaningful moments that reminded our students of the courage and determination of those who shaped our nation’s history. Through the flag-raising ceremony and the participation of our students in traditional ceremonial roles, the school created a respectful and memorable atmosphere where students could experience the significance of Independence Day beyond the classroom. Seeing our young people stand together with pride was a beautiful reminder that the spirit of independence continues through every generation.
More than a celebration, Independence Day is an opportunity to nurture nationalism and strengthen our students’ connection to Indonesia’s rich heritage and cultural identity. Through ceremonies, traditions, and shared moments of reflection, students are encouraged to appreciate the sacrifices of the past, respect the values that unite us, and understand their responsibility as future citizens. We hope this special day inspires our students to carry the spirit of merdeka, with courage, respect, unity, and a deep love for their country, into their everyday lives and future endeavors.
