From 22–24 July 2026, Grade 10 students participated in the Mountain Top Camp (MTC) at Shanaya Resort, Malang, under the theme “God’s Handiwork”, based on Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Through four sessions, students were encouraged to discover God’s purpose and to respond faithfully to His calling. Ps. Jeremy Rim, who serves with a non-profit organization combating human trafficking, shared how God led him into a ministry partnering with government agencies, including the police and immigration, to rescue and care for survivors. Drawing from passages including Isaiah 6:5–8, 1 Samuel 3:1–10, and 1 Timothy 4:12, he challenged students to recognize that God equips those He calls and each person has unique gifts and strengths that can be used for His purposes.

Sessions three and four, led by Ps. Andrew Cho, pastor of an English-speaking congregation in Surabaya, focused on hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit and using gifts for God’s Kingdom. Students were reminded that Scripture is the foundation for knowing God, that spiritual growth takes place within a godly community, and that we are called to guard our hearts while renewing our minds through the work of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; Hebrews 3:15). Beyond the teaching sessions, students enthusiastically participated in a talent show featuring dance, music, drama, and poetry in line with the session themes. Many found the 20-Minute-Challenge to be a highlight, setting aside time for prayer, Bible reading, Scripture memorization, and worship. Several students shared that this experience renewed their focus and deepened their desire to cultivate regular personal spiritual disciplines. Together with the excellent hospitality, facilities, and natural surroundings of Shanaya Resort, the camp provided a memorable opportunity for students to grow in faith, community, and purpose.
